I first had an interest in art when I was at Charnwood Secondary School in Markfield Leics and carried it on when I was at Groby Community College, Leics taking GCSE in art.
I also went to Groby College for a watercolour class where I caught the art bug and whilst there found the Groby Disabled Art Club which I attended for a few years until it closed down.
I went to an art group in Peckleton Leics. Unfortunately I then had psychiatric problems which meant that my driving licence was taken away and could no longer get there.
I also went to a MIND class at Hinckley Leics but again was prevented from continuing due to the loss of my driving licence.
I was referred to Albert Street Artists in Loughborough and have been going there ever since. They have two exhibitions in a year and I have contributed to this every year since I started.
In 2011 I held an exhibition at Albert Street Artists in the summer and one of my landscape pictures impressed the Lord Mayor so much that he purchased it and consequently used it for his official Christmas Card.
I have also had an exhibition at Hermitage FM in Coalville Leics in 2012
In May 2014 some of my work was exhibited at Bishop Street Methodist Church Leicester.
I have displayed some of my work with Bright Sparks which is "Art in Mental Health in Leicester."
Recently I have attended several Workers Educational Association classes in Loughborough.
Two of my paintings "Whitby Abbey" and "Lighthouse"I have been in an Open Art exhibition in Leicester's Cank Street Gallery in June 2016
I've displayed work in The Akins Building Hinckley "Childhood Memories show" in August 2017
My painting "Stanley" was shown in "The Leicester Open Show" in 2017
At Market Bosworth's Festival of Art in June 2016 and 2017 /2018 my paintings have been displayed.
In 2017 one of my paintings was displayed in Loughborough's Town Hall for the "Loughborough Open Christmas" Show.
In June 2018 my painting of St. Paul's Cathedral watercolour was selected for the Cank Street Open Art Show in Leicester.
I hope to have more exhibitions in the future.
